Chellie thompsonSales have been a part of Chellie’s professional life for 15 years leading to a rewarding career filled with many great relationships. When Chellie graduated from Baylor University in 1998 with Management and Real Estate degrees, she didn’t anticipate a career in sales. She wanted to manage her own business, but the opportunity to use both her degrees and work in property management was too appealing to pass-up. Little did she know this position would set in motion an exciting and lifelong career in sales. Her property leasing experience led to corporate retreat sales then, on to tradeshow and sponsorship sales at the Texas Society of Architects. It was there she found her niche in the construction industry; selling out the annual tradeshow six years running and implementing a successful sponsorship program. Chellie worked with customers across the state and country—it didn’t matter if she could meet them face-to-face or if all communication was via phone or email, each customer received the same level of personalized service leading to strong business relationships.

The opportunity to pursue her own business surfaced in 2008 when she transitioned to an independent contractor position for the Society’s bimonthly publication, Texas Architect, further expanding her sales experience into print advertising. She was responsible for marketing each issue, selling ad space, and working with each advertiser to ensure the finished product met expectations. Chellie credits her sales success to an understanding that a great product coupled with excellent customer service results in happy, repeat customers and a solid customer base that generates new sales leads.

Chellie cofounded Monarch Media in 2011 and brings extensive expertise in marketing, advertising sales, tradeshow sales, sponsorship consulting, fundraising management, customer service and revenue administration and reporting, as well as event planning and development of strategic revenue-generation plans.
