Monarch Media is the culmination of more than 25 years of combined experience and eight years of dedicated teamwork in publishing, marketing and sales. Cofounded in 2011 by Andrea Exter and Chellie Thompson, the professional collaboration unites results-driven revenue growth and integrated, tailored design for their clients' publications and projects.

We built Monarch Media viewing our services through the lens of association staff and leadership, having served in those roles ourselves. We understand how important it is to coordinate between departments, share information and support you as part of the team. We serve our clients as if we are “on staff.”

We put advertising sales and customer service in our own hands where decisions are made most efficiently. When advertisers know you by name, trust your knowledge and can count on your responsive action, it becomes a relationship. We build relationships that in turn, generate sales. 

Andrea Exter, CEO & Director of Publishing

Andrea Exter specializes in providing collaborative project management promoting each client's purpose by publishing print and digital magazines, newsletters and specialized publications that help them communicate with their members, readers and customers.

Andrea brings expertise in publishing, editorial strategy, writing, editing, graphic design, magazine and publication production and management for both print and digital, as well as marketing, public relations and distribution strategy for all types of publications from a newsletter to a full-scale magazine.

Chellie Thompson, CFO & Director of Sales

Chellie Thompson specializes in building relationships through marketing and sales strategies that provide revenue to support communications, publications and events important to our clients--associations, non-profits and small businesses.

Chellie brings extensive expertise in marketing, advertising sales, tradeshow sales, sponsorship consulting, fundraising management, customer service and revenue administration and reporting, as well as event planning and development of strategic revenue-generation plans.
